IMPORTANT FUEL SAFETY TIPS 1. Store racing fuel in an air-tight metal or heavy opaque plastic container. Red is the universal color for gasoline containers. Plastic jugs are available in several colors; race gas should be stored in a dark colored jug to avoid exposing fuel to sunlight. 2. Store racing fuel in a cool, well ventilated area. 3. To avoid spark from static electricity, place fuel jugs on the ground during filling and keep the nozzle in contact with the fuel jug. 4. Drain gas tanks when vehicle is to be stored for long periods. 5. Do not store fuels in direct sunlight, even for short periods of time. 6. Don't smoke within 25 feet of fuel pumps, fuel jugs or drums. |
